On the evening of December 20, 2020, a rescuer resuscitated a baby elephant in the eastern province of Chanthaburi (Thailand). The pachyderm was hit by a motorbike as it crossed the road with the rest of its herd.
In a video, we see Mana Srivate providing cardiac massage to the injured mammal. For ten minutes, he rhythmically exerted compressions on the body of the baby elephant:

As a precaution, the pachyderm was transported to another location for examination. When he was able to move on his own, the baby was brought back to the accident site.
According to the words of Mana Srivate, the mother of the little one and her congeners returned to the spot when they heard the cries of the little one. Obviously, the rescuer did not miss any crumb of this tender spectacle.
