The airline allowed the owner of the horse to take it with him on the plane

On a recent American Airlines flight, an unusual passenger rode – a miniature horse. Noticing the animal standing just between the rows of seats, many passengers photographed and videotaped it. It turned out that the airline let the horse fly for a specific reason.

On a recent American Airlines flight from Chicago to Omaha, passengers spotted a horse on board.

“The military, families with children and horses are the first guests to board,” wrote one of the passengers. “I saw a small horse in my check-in line,” another passenger wrote in the photo.

The horse behaved quite calmly, standing next to the mistress between the rows of chairs. As it turned out later, the mini-horse’s name is Flirty and she is a service animal.

Under American Airlines policy, passengers with disabilities or mental health issues are allowed to board trained miniature horses as service animals.

The owner takes Fleurty with her as an emotional support animal. In such cases, people who are stressed during flights can always calm down by petting their beloved pet. For such an animal, a set of necessary documents is drawn up in advance.

Not all airlines allow emotional support animals on board. Southwest Airlines also announced last year that mini horses will be allowed on board as service animals.

China Southern Airlines previously launched Alaskan Malamute service on one flight. Delta Airlines, on the other hand, has banned the admission of any emotional support animals on flights longer than eight hours.
