An old man lived all alone on the outskirts of Vladimir. Out of boredom, he started feeding the crow that was flying towards the balсon and eventually got used to it

George lived alone after his wife left. He withdrew into himself and did not seek to communicate with friends and relatives. The crow that flew has become man’s only outlet, and so every day he
was met with a smile – he knew the bird would fly to the balсon again. In the winter, George had to go to his daughter’s house in another city for several months. The man
constantly remembered the raven and thought that it must have flew away long ago in search of food. Finally, George returned home.
The next morning, the man heard a familiar knock at the window. Georgy opened the balсon door and saw that same crow, something shone in the bird’s beс. Raven threw
the “gift” and jumped. The man picked up the thing: in his hands was an earring from a pair that his wife had long since lost.
Where the crow took it is unknown. But these birds are very intelligent and able to reason logically. They also know how to show empathy, as proven by the tests of ornithologists:
