Nine-year-old boy raises funds for free meals for hungry little ones

As UK politicians debate whether to extend free school meals over the holidays, Noah Whitehead is doing his best to help feed disadvantaged little ones.

The nine-year-old started the fundraiser because he believes “everyone deserves to start life on an equal footing”.

At first Noah, who lives with his family in Liverpool, expected to raise just £50 for the charity St Andrew’s Community Network, but to date he has raised far more than he and his chosen organization could dream.

Noah’s father shared a video on Facebook in which the boy urged the public to help the little ones who may find themselves without food during the holidays.

“Earlier this week, I heard on the news that some little ones might be left without food at the end of the semester and that the government isn’t doing anything to help them,” Noah says in the video. “Personally, the fact that other little ones are starving seems heartbreaking, and I want to help them. »

“So I’m going to donate money to a charity that helps families in Liverpool so the little ones don’t starve. I will be happy if you join and donate money to charity.

It’s important for us little ones to help each other, so please help me raise as much money as possible. Noah has already collected over 1,700 books.
