For a modern European, exotic countries are exotic in everything. The local people have a different way of life, a different view of the world, and even the pets are not cats or dogs at all.
So, in a Cambodian village, the boy got a pet – a 5-meter python. For several years now, he has been his inseparable friend.
Snakes crawling into residential buildings are not uncommon in Cambodia. Children love to play with the little reptiles. One day, a python got into the Sambath family’s house. The owner did not kill him and took the snake to the jungle.
The next day, the same snake was again found in the house, it was again moved to the forest. When the same situation repeated itself for the third time, the decision was made to keep the python as a pet.
The owner Warn Sambat’s son (at the time he was only 3 years old) befriended a python named Chamroeun. He climbed it back and forth, slept on it, dragged it by its tail. During all this time, the snake never harmed the boy.
Now the length of the python is more than 5 meters, and its weight is more than 100 kilograms. If it wishes, the python could easily swallow the boy, but for some reason it doesn’t.
The family regards the Chamroeun python as their magical spirit, which brings them prosperity and health. And tourists from all over the world now come to see the unusual friendship between the boy and the snake.
