A 31-year-old resident of Nigeria gave birth to twins, which everyone can immediately tell apart! The boys have different skin colors: Daniel is black, like his parents, and David is blond with white skin. The secret is simple: David was born albino.
Stacey, 31, and her husband Babadije, residents of the Nigerian capital Lagos, could not have imagined that a little white-blond would appear in their family.
When Stacey gave birth to twins, one of the boys turned out to be black and dark-haired, like her parents and older sister Demilade, and the second turned out to be a blond blonde! The boy is the son of Stacy and Babadize, he has just been born albino.
“I didn’t expect such a surprise, and neither did the doctors,” says Stacey. “The little one’s skin color is not visible on ultrasound, so I saw that David was white and with golden hair only after birth.
The doctor said we had a rare case: completely different twins! All the nurses in the hospital ran to see David.
Albinism is an inherited genetic characteristic that occurs in one in every 20,000 births. Nigeria has more albinos than anywhere else on the planet, with over 2 million people living with albinism.
Stacy herself claims that they don’t discriminate between the boys in the family and love both equally strongly.
According to Stacey, she never received negative comments from acquaintances, neighbors or passers-by on the street. Certainly, the people she meets in the street often ask her which of the boys is her son.
The Stacy family is well known in Lagos, the boys attract a lot of attention, but Stacy herself is not embarrassed.
