Elizabeth Tyler, 35, from Ohio, and her one-year-old son, Liam Mexus, have unusual eyes: half black, half piercing blue. This feature is due to heterochromia – a rare mutation, which, however, does not affect health in any way. Thanks to their unusual looks, Elizabeth and Liam have become social media stars.
Most often, heterochromia manifests itself only in eye color, although sometimes its owners have disorders of skin pigmentation – the so-called “piebald skin” with areas completely devoid of pigment. But doctors found no other manifestation of the anomaly in Elizabeth and Liam.
Educationally, heterochromia is not hereditary, but Elizabeth has a different case: her father, sisters, and brothers are all carriers of heterochromia.
Elizabeth’s son also inherited the family distinction. Elizabeth isn’t afraid of her exotic features at all and is happy to post pictures on social media – her own and her son’s.
“I love my eyes because they are unique,” says Elizabeth. “It’s okay to be different. »
Elizabeth has five little ones, but only Liam inherited her fortune. Why this happened is a mystery.
