Aria’s mother announced it on social networks: her courageous little girl with brain cancer died on Thursday, December 1, 2022. The little girl had been fighting courageously against the disease for 1 year.
Her parents had succeeded in mobilizing personalities so that she could benefit from a very expensive treatment. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough.
This story had moved actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mc Elhenney. The two stars had helped popularize the mother’s kitty. The money would be used to pay expensive treatment which would not save little Aria, but would have allowed her to prolong her life.
Because, unfortunately, when her parents learned what their little one was suffering from, the doctors explained to them that she was doomed. Life expectancy with this type of tumor is only 18 months.
She, the little girl from Wales unfortunately did not have time to take advantage of this remedy since she left, surrounded by her family.
Death of Aria: she was battling cancer
It is with a poignant and loving message that Mélanie Hodkgiss, the mother, tells us of the death on Facebook of the 4-year-old girl : “Our brave warrior, our little girl Aria died peacefully surrounded by her family at 12:30 p.m.
We are absolutely devastated and have no idea how we are going to carry on each day. But, we promise you that we will continue for you. Dipg didn’t win, you won baby. You fought for so long.
Now you deserve to run free and be a little girl. We love you so much Aria.“One can imagine how immense the grief of this family is and how devastated they must be just days away from Christmas.

The first symptoms appeared in September 2020. Aria is one of 3 siblings. The parents are worried because they discover that their youngest child is losing her balance and suddenly has difficulty moving.
They decide to consult and it is the day of the third birthday of the little one that the verdict falls. She is having a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). This cancer is particularly aggressive. There is only one hope left for the parents: that of slowing down the disease and enjoying their daughter a little.
They succeed with the help of Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Free Guy…) and Rob McElhenney (Game Of Thrones) to collect 75,675 pounds sterling (88,165 euros).

Unfortunately, Aria did not have time to benefit from this treatment. His parents had announced on November 29 that his condition was suddenly worsening.
The doctors were not optimistic and suggested that the girl was living her last moments. And it was sadly confirmed. We share the pain of this family and we send them all our condolences.
