This 14-year-old boy rushed to rescue a cat from a highway overpass. The grateful tabby clung to his rescuer and wouldn’t let go.

While driving her son to a party, Erin Brown couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw a cat thrown from a speeding vehicle in front of them. While stopping his car, Gavin, his son, asked the oncoming vehicle to stop so he could help the kitten.
Brown said: “In shock, watching the cat hit the curb and run all the way down the freeway, he ran to the overpass right next to me and jumped onto the top of the overpass about to get in. to come down. The cat gasped heavily in shock. Her fingernails were pulled out trying to hold onto the pavement too tightly.
He clung to Gavin’s arms, and the boy held him tightly and continued to pet him…to show him he was safe and to gain the cat’s trust.
They took Lucky to BluePearl Animal Hospital, and the employees began treating him.

Afterwards, a Good Samaritan heard about their story through Facebook and offered to pay the medical bills. Gavin was excited by this kind of support and tears were streaming from his eyes, but then Gavin said he would also donate his own $63 to help with the bills. Brown’s heart was filled with gratitude.
Lucky is doing well and improving in her new home. The two friends got very attached. Brown says Lucky knows Gavin saved him and their relationship is indescribable their relationship is indescribable. She also says that Lucky is an excellent cat, full of life and simply adorable.
This heroic boy loves animals and would like to become a veterinarian when he grows up.
