Although most people don’t even care about others on the planet, some people are willing to go above and beyond just to keep them safe. Although he is only 11 years old, this boy has proven that you don’t have to be a giant to be a superhero. It’s all about risking your life to save an injured dog.
Brazilian Jean Fernandes was walking down the street and saw a crying dog in the middle of the street. According to the local news agency Globo Rural, it turned out that this helpless creature was hit by a car and the driver fled, causing him great pain. Luckily, the eleven-year-old hero can’t just watch the dog suffer. He knew he had to do something, so he rushed down the street, stopped traffic, then picked up the dog and pulled him to safety.
Thankfully, when locals captured the heartwarming moment with their cameras, the noble gesture was not overlooked. Photographer Rafael Martins took some snaps from the scene and shared them online. As expected, the post immediately went viral on Facebook, with many people expressing their admiration for the boy’s handsome posture. One person described the moment perfectly: “This little boy is already older than a lot of men,” she wrote.
Asked about her son’s kindness, the mother replied that his behavior did not surprise her, because as far as she can remember, he was very fond of animals. Also, his son is always ready to help animals without hope. The dog Jean rescued was called Mel -oney in English – and was taken to a local animal shelter, where he was treated for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery soon.
