Sometimes you have to know how to let go of everything, even if it breaks your heart. This is called true love.
This Mexican boy, who is only twelve years old, had to make a decision that will hurt him a lot, namely to take his puppy, which he loves dearly, to the rescue group Refugio Xollin. He did all of this just to protect him.
They found a small pit bull in the box with a message saying why the dog was brought there.
The rescue center called via Facebook and said someone had left the dog at the entrance to the shelter, and there was still a message and a small toy for the dog in the box. According to them, the message was written by a child and explains that his father has always mistreated the dog and that he soon wanted to get rid of it by selling it. That’s the reason the child brought the dog, to save him.
This sad explanation stressed everyone working in the shelter, so they decided to share everything on Facebook.
People all over the world have offered to help and have only words of praise for this boy, who gave up what he loves most because of it.
The message revealed that the person who brought the dog was actually a 12-year-old boy named Andrés. He adored this dog, but the circumstances of their life did not allow him to keep it, just for the safety of the pup.
In the message, Andrés wrote this nasty revelation, that his father had abused the pit bull, that he had beaten and harassed him.
This is the reason why he and his mother decided to take such a measure in order to protect the dog. They think that this way they will have a better life, even if they are not part of it.
Andrés felt a great pain, a heartache that he transmitted to us on paper. It was clear and obvious to all the employees present how much this boy loved his dog, and everyone was fascinated by his message and sympathized with him.
The pit bull was named Rene and upon examination it was found to have several small tail fractures, as well as parasites. But the good thing about it all is that good people are now caring for him and giving him all the attention and treatment he needs and a loving home.
When the story of this unfortunate dog was published, we started to receive requests from people wishing to welcome him into their homes, which was to be expected.
Andrés had to decide what he didn’t really want, but he was very brave and put his pup’s life ahead of his happiness, even though it was clear to him that it was their salvation.
Congratulations to the boy for this great gesture which shows how much he really loved this dog and how selflessly he treated him. It’s hard that all this happened, but thanks to Andrés, Rene can start a new happy life.
