Amazingly, dogs have the social skills to befriend other dogs. Many pet owners know the special relationship they can form with the dog next door.
This is certainly the case of two caring dogs, who are always there for each other on the other side of the fence.
Two dogs named Messy and Audi live opposite each other in Thailand. Audi is often left home alone when his owners go to work, and he doesn’t always take it well…but Messy’s owner, Oranit Kittragul, knows her dog is just the thing to cheer him up.
“When he feels lonely and cries, I always ask my dog to see him and talk to him,” says Oranit. “My dog just watches from my fence and sometimes he barks at Audi. I don’t know what they are communicating, but he stops crying.”
The two formed a bond over time, with Messy always lifting Audi’s spirits with his visits. But one meeting was very special.
One day, the owner of Audi left the gate unlocked and Audi was able to get out… and he ran straight to Messy, where the two friends hugged:
“He ran towards my dog and they huddled together,” Oranit said.
Oranit filmed this precious moment. It showed her how much these two dogs cared for each other – that they had formed a real bond during their visits and just wanted to be together.
Oranit shared the photos on social media, where they quickly went viral. Everyone loved this sweet moment between these dogs.
“My goal is just to share a great photo and a story,” she said.
She added that the two dogs still haven’t had a chance to play together since they became famous, but she continued to bring her dog to Audi.
What a beautiful friendship! We’re glad these dogs can turn to each other when they’re feeling down or lonely.
