When Christina Quinn asked her 89-year-old grandmother, Nana Betty, to be bridesmaid at her wedding, no one knew what would come of it.
But a few months later, Grandma not only came to the wedding, but also proved by her entire appearance that you can (and should!) enjoy life at any age.
“Grandma joked all evening, told funny life stories and also gave wise advice,” Christina, who is still close to her grandmother and communicates warmly with her, shares her memories.
“Grandmother got a place of honor on the wedding bus and instead of going home to rest, she accompanied all the guests to continue celebrating our wedding! She danced all night! The moment when they danced with my fiancé’s grandmother was particularly moving.
“You are as old as you feel,” Nana said, “and that day I felt young. Yes, we all grow up, but we don’t have to grow old at heart!
“She asked me ten times if I was sure. And she asked why they needed an old woman at the wedding? “You are as old as you feel, and today I feel young!” »
