The 60-year-old resident of Leeds, UK has become an inspiration to people half his age after going from ordinary man to fit bodybuilder in just one year.
Looking at Steve Ramsden today, it’s hard to believe that just a year ago he was diabetic, overweight and high in cholesterol.
But that’s just more proof of what the right exercise and dedication, backed by a balanced diet and a well-structured workout plan, can do for a person.
Ramsden weighed 100 kg and took pills to lower cholesterol. Today, he weighs 72 kg and seems to have been going to the gym every day for at least a few decades.
Steve’s awakening came last year when his back hurt. After telling his family about his constant back pain, the man decided he needed to drastically change his lifestyle.
Luckily for him, his son Dan has a gym and was able to guide his father down the right path to transformation.
“He was always a pretty masculine person, and then I think he lost his way and lost his confidence as he got older,” Dan said.
In our gym he went through intensive 12-week training and was very disciplined. He lost several tens of kilograms, then gave up alcohol and unhealthy foods.
“Age is just a number and changing my father’s life has been my greatest achievement to date. It’s really something special for me,” added Dan.
Steve himself is also very proud of his transformation. He no longer worries about diabetes, he has an ideal weight for himself, which he hasn’t had in his entire adult life, and now he has abs instead of a belly. Steve drinks a lot less than before, eats well and tries to lead a balanced life.
