Chris Lodge, a 44-year-old builder, dreamed of taking his beloved wife Sharon to a tropical island paradise for six years. When that didn’t work out, he built a tropical paradise garden in the backyard of his own house to give his wife a fairy tale at least that way. Before that, Chris had never gardened – but love helped him create a true miracle!
A bridge built by Chris from old planks and ropes stretches across the garden, where palm trees grow. It leads to the “Tiki hut”, where Chris has also made a wooden bar and high stools with his own hands.
Chris spent two years on the job; to realize his idea, during this time he devoted all his free time and every weekend to work. But now he says the result is worth every hour and penny spent. Now Chris Sharon and their dog Dice spend every free minute in their tropical garden.
“Before, we really liked to travel,” says Chris. But now I work a lot, and Sharon is in business, which has been developing very well lately. Also, Dice has been sick lately and we’re in no danger of leaving. alone for a long time. So we were attached to home and office.
“I decide to organize a tropical paradise for us at home,” explains Chris, “so that we can disconnect from the problems on a real romantic island”.
“We come to our cabin, have a cocktail and relax,” says Chris. Here, it seems to us that we are on the other side of the earth, and not in the usual garden of the center of England! »
After. When KChris, for the first time in his life, had to plant and care for them, he suddenly became interested in gardening. In the garden, a small corner is also reserved for the dog Dice: he can frolic on the lawn in the center of the courtyard.
“I want all of our friends to come here if they’re in a bad mood or having a rough day,” says Chris. “Here they can get distracted and come back in a good mood. I like doing something that makes people happy. and helps them smile.
