Kayla Jones, 29, of Texarkana, Arkansas, just wanted to have a normal family with her husband Cody. But, unfortunately, at the age of 17, she underwent surgery, which made her dream very difficult to achieve.
The solution was to find a surrogate mother: “I can still have children biologically, but I am unable to carry a little one on my own,” the woman said. “That’s why my husband and I needed a surrogate. »
After unsuccessfully trying to find a suitable candidate, the couple decided to look for someone closer to home. “My mother-in-law always joked about being willing to be our surrogate,” Kayla explained.
“After a few of our surrogacy options didn’t work out, we got more serious about my mother-in-law’s proposal. »
After numerous trials, studies and skeptical doctors, Cody’s mother, Patty, was ready to bear the couple’s child. It didn’t work the first time. “We were devastated, but decided to try again,” she says. “In May, we learned that we were pregnant! »
After 7 months, their boy Cross Allen Jones was born by Caesarean section. “I am so amazed by this magical miracle. Having her through surrogacy hasn’t been easy, and certainly not easy for Patty, but having her here justifies all the hardship. »
“Patty is awesome! She is expected to return to work next week. “Cross is doing well too and he’s sleeping well, this story has a really happy ending.
