Mike and Hayley were planning to adopt a child, but after learning that seven brothers and their sister were left without a father and their mother couldn’t support them, the married couple adopted them all.
The couple already had two sons when they adopted 8 more children. Now their life has changed dramatically. Hayley admits she doesn’t have a moment of peace. She is always cooking, cleaning, washing, explaining something, but she can no longer imagine her life without these children.
Hailey was skeptical at first. Initially, they were going to adopt two children from an orphanage in Sierra Leone, but she supported her husband’s decision, and now feels that these children were not enough for them to be completely happy.
Hailey discovered this orphanage by chance – she works as a teacher at the school and one of her students was adopted. Later, his foster family opened an orphanage in his son’s homeland.
The eldest is 16 years old and the youngest 5 years old. Local authorities helped a large family: they were paid £10,000, donated children’s clothes and beds. Many foreigners approach them and give them money.
At first, the children were surprised at everything, a two-story house was crazy for them, they did not understand how it could be built. Now that they have adapted, the older ones are already going to school. And Haley had to quit – lots of homework.
