Meet Wizzy, a scared dog who shunned all noises and rustles until she had a human baby brother. Nobody knows why a little Italian Greyhound, who was thrown into an animal shelter in Alberta (Canada), was shaking with fear all the time and seemed to be afraid of everything: people, squeaky toys and even flies.
The first people to adopt her from the shelter returned Wizzy the next day – they thought she was too scared.
And then one day, a woman named Sarah Mavro got in her car and drove for two hours to the orphanage to “adopt” Whizzy.
I have to say the dog’s teeth were in such terrible condition that they had to be pulled out, leaving only two – that explains his still protruding tongue.
Wizzy only barked for the first time after three years with Sarah – in her case, it’s a sure sign of trust and reassurance.
And then Sarah had baby Evan, and Wizzy miraculously thawed out and calmed down. “He’s now 7 months old, and I think Wizzy loves him a lot more than we do,” Sarah says. “She’s always there for Evan and lets him crawl all over her. »
