A 36-year-old man was arrested last weekend in Villeurbanne, near Lyon, on suspicion of having beaten his wife in front of the victim’s three children and mother, all confined to the same accommodation.
According to Le Progrès, which relates this case, the police had been alerted a few moments earlier by the battered woman’s 14-year-old son, who dialed 17 in the middle of the night to ask for help and put an end to the abuse suffered. by his mother.
According to the testimony of the victim, an argument had broken out because of a suspicion of infidelity, following a message discovered on the phone of her husband. The latter responded with threatening blows and gestures with a knife, which slashed the arm of the young woman, aged 31. Her mother confirmed the scene which erupted in the presence of three children.
The victim explained to the investigators that she was subjected to violence every week. She said she had suffered a grip since her marriage in 2018, with a ban on social relations.
