A young woman received eight stab wounds, on the night of Tuesday to last Wednesday in Viroflay (Yvelines), by a man who wanted to steal her mobile phone.
The 20-year-old victim threw herself on her attacker in an attempt to recover her property, Actu17 reported. The man then stabbed the young woman eight times before making her let go. The vital prognosis of the victim is not engaged. The assailant is on the run.
The facts took place around 3 a.m. on Avenue du Général-Leclerc, the main artery of Viroflay, where the young woman was walking with two friends while holding her mobile phone in her hand.
The small group then came across a hooded individual wearing a surgical mask. The latter rushed on the young woman to try to seize her phone.
Faced with resistance from the victim, the attacker took out a knife and struck him several blows, notably in the abdomen, before fleeing with his phone. Injured, the young woman was taken care of by the firefighters. His vital prognosis is not engaged.
Since then, an investigation has been opened and entrusted to the Versailles police station.
