Nearly one in two women would think of their ex when they masturbate according to an Ifop study revealed on the show Daily.
This Wednesday, February 8, 2023, the show’s Instagram account Daily unveiled an extract from a sequence of Pablo Mira’s chronicle. And the subject of the evening interested many Internet users since it is an investigation on female masturbation. While women still give themselves less pleasure than men, they said they masturbated 53 times on average in 2021, according to a survey by Womanizer.
One in two women would think of their ex
In the talk show hosted by Yann Barthès, the columnist looked at a recent survey by the IFOP on the European Observatory of Female Sexuality, published in 2021. That year, 78% of French women said s be given solitary pleasure in their lifetime. To compare, in 1970, only 19% of them admitted to masturbating once in a while.
The survey also brought to light a surprising poll. Indeed, according to Ifop, 46% of women think to their ex when they masturbate. While 28% of them think back to their crazy parties of legs in the air with their partner, to cause excitement.
Why do women masturbate?
The study authors also asked the female panel on the reasons for which recent masturbate. Among those surveyed, 30% of women declared that they liked giving pleasure to themselves. 26% of them masturbate to meet an immediate urge.
19% do it to clear their heads and fight stress. 6% of women indulge in it at night, to fall asleep more easily. And finally, 4% of French women recognize that it allows them to get to know their body and their tastes in terms of sexuality better.
