Before and after: renovation of a one-room apartment, which cost a little money.

How, using ideas from Pinterest and furniture from IKEA, they created a bright Scandinavian interior on 33 m² without spending a lot of money.

This apartment was purchased on the secondary market and has already been renovated. It was basic and solid, but the new owner wanted to refresh the interior and move into a completely new home, where everything was pleasing to the eye. I didn’t want to spend time on redevelopment, and I didn’t have any extra money after purchasing the home. Therefore, Valentin decided to decorate the interior himself, without resorting to the services of contractors.

The walls were painted with Little Greene paint. To set the geometry of the space and hide small defects in the walls, moldings made of polyurethane and LDF were used. The colors in the room were rich and deep, while in the hallway and kitchen they were lighter and neutral.

Some of the furniture was purchased from IKEA, some was custom-made and brought from trips. All the decor was assembled gradually: many things were brought from America, Europe, and Asia. Plants and compositions were found from the Treez Collection brand. “You can blame the design for being too Pinterest-oriented, but not boring. The resulting interior is a reflection of me and my lifestyle,” says the apartment owner.
