How to give new life to a boring interior without remodeling.
Designer updated the interior of a two-room apartment for a young married couple. The customer wanted to combine classics with elements of modern Scandinavian design, use natural materials in furniture and decor.
Kitchen before renovation
The kitchen already had an exposed brick finish and a kitchen set; I wanted to bring the decor to perfection.
Kitchen after renovation
The layout completely suited the customers, so there were no major alterations. Exposed brick was left in the kitchen, the facades of the furniture were replaced with new ones. “In the kitchen, we restored the corner in the niche and the bricks so that the display case and open shelves would fit beautifully there. I was very worried that everything would fall into place; there were problems after installing the headset, but the craftsmen fixed everything,” says the designer.
Living room before renovation
The living room has several functional areas; they had to be left, but at the same time the interior should be made more comfortable and modern.

For finishing we used paintable wallpaper and Swiss Lake paint – they have a good palette of light colors. The antique package was restored and repainted in a light shade. We added furniture in the Mid-century style .
Bedroom before renovation
The bedroom space is very small, the walls were painted green and complemented by dark green curtains, which created a not very comfortable atmosphere. From the bedroom there is access to the balcony.

The designer completely changed the color palette: beige shades and natural wood saved the situation and added airiness and intimacy to the room.
“The bedroom has an incredible balcony. Initially, it was completely unremarkable and nondescript, but we decided to turn it into a Parisian balcony with beautiful carved iron furniture and lots of flowers,” says the designer.
Corridor and hallway before renovation
The hallway was very ordinary, with an open storage system, the floor looked unpresentable.
Hallway after renovation
The floor was painted a light shade, the lamps were changed, and more modern furniture was installed. From the threshold, the interior welcomes guests warmly.
