Have You Seen a House of 9 m²? And What Do You Think the Living Conditions Are Like There? Let’s Take a Look and Evaluate Whether It Is Possible to Live There or Whether It Remains Only to Exist.

A 13-year-old guy lives in Iowa, whose name is Luke Thiull. What is it remarkable about? Yes, because the boy, even at such a young age, has already developed a rather serious hobby, he builds houses.

The debut of the young builder was the actual house he built, which is located in the garden of his own parents. Construction costs amounted to a little more than one and a half thousand dollars, but he proudly presents his creation, which you can also see.

This is truly an unconventional activity for a teenager, because most of his peers are interested in gadgets and computer games. The boy started a page on YouTube and there he happily talks about his plans, talks about what gave him the idea to start construction, and also shares his experience in building his first house.

Luke began preparing, collecting money and building materials a year before the start of construction. He hired neighbors to mow lawns, worked part-time in a store unloading groceries, and raised money online.

One of the neighbors, an electrician by training, taught the guy how to understand electrical networks when he cleaned out his shed.

The guy did not have enough funds to build a house from new material, so many building materials were used from his grandmother’s previously dismantled house, which had already fallen into disrepair. The front door was also removed from there.

The house turned out to be about 9 m2, but so far it has not been possible to get running water to it, so to take a shower and wash your hands, you have to go to your parents’ house.

But Luke does not lose heart and says the following:

  • I wanted to create my own home, rather than take out a mortgage on it from a bank,
  • I love simplicity and minimalism.

The young man shares all stages of construction on YouTube, and this interests many people in the world who share similar hobbies.

And of course, the guy’s parents helped him with everything, even financial assistance. But Luke’s father considered that the guy should collect most of the money for construction on his own in order to learn how to achieve his goal.

Greg comments on his son’s action as follows:

  • I think Luke learned a big life lesson.
  • This construction helped Luke overcome great difficulties and taught him determination.

The built home for Luke is the personal space that every teenager should have. It is equipped with a TV, microwave and even a mini refrigerator. There is a bed in the attic, and behind the house there is a barbecue grill.
