When planning small-sized apartments in the post-war period, architects of that time were severely limited by savings. They were faced with the task of developing house designs for more or less comfortable settlement of people. There could be no talk of space, comfort, or a healthy atmosphere then. People were happy even with such housing.
Now those new residents have become pensioners and have long deserved the renewal of their apartments. Using the example of one small one-room apartment, completely refurbished, see an example of a comfortable interior environment.
Without changing the layout, it will not be possible to competently optimize the space. The designer developed a 3D layout of the setting.
Hallway
The lobby floor has ceramic tiles, the walls are painted in two colors – blue and white, and there are wooden elements throughout. There is a compact place with hooks for outerwear and umbrellas. Narrow shoe rack for shoes.
Near the entrance, behind a curtain, there is another spacious storage area. After remodeling, there is now a cabinet in the old passage to the kitchen.
Kitchen
The kitchen was combined with the living room. The former passage was occupied by a huge refrigerator. There is blue paint on the walls, white tiles with ornaments on the floor.
A white eight-piece kitchen set was selected. Tile decor in the sink area and slabs with colorful motifs. They didn’t install a microwave oven because there was no room for it. Dining area next to the entrance.
Room
This room combines a living room, bedroom and workplace. In a niche near the closet there is a secluded sleeping place. In the middle of the room there is a TV area with a transformable sofa. There are closets nearby. There is a small work desk near the window.
Bathroom
To save space, the bathroom became combined. Against the background of brown floor tiles, the walls appear snow-white. There was room for a closet with mirrored doors. Instead of a bathtub, there is a shower cabin, and a washing machine next to it.
